Where you stand in search, and where you stand in AI. The audit comes back scored, named, and ordered by impact.
Two halves of search visibility. Classic SEO for search. Generative Engine Optimization for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Bing Copilot, and Google AI Overviews. Audit, ship, measure.
Four moves to get found in search and cited by AI. We ship all four.
Pages written two ways at once. The way search engines read, and the way ChatGPT and Perplexity quote. Same page, two audiences.
Get on the list AI engines reach for. We set the instructions ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude read before they cite, and grow the brand mentions that earn citations.
One monthly report. Where you rank in search. Where you got cited in AI. What moved. What's next.

Common questions. If yours isn't here, email us.
What is Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)?
Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is the practice of optimizing content so AI search engines discover, cite, and quote it. The engines that matter are ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Bing Copilot. The work covers schema.org structured data, passage-level content (134 to 167 word citable blocks with definition-first openers), llms.txt and crawler policy, and brand mention growth across Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Wikipedia. Mentions correlate around three times more strongly with AI citations than backlinks (Ahrefs 75k-brand study, December 2025).
How do AI search engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity choose what to cite?
AI search engines each weight their citation sources differently. ChatGPT pulls heavily from Wikipedia (47.9% of citations) and Reddit (11.3%). Perplexity pulls 46.7% from Reddit. Google AI Overviews cite primarily from top-10 Google rankings (92%). Bing Copilot relies on the Bing index and authoritative sites. Common signals across all four: brand entity strength, structured data, passage citability, content recency, and inbound mentions. The Ahrefs December 2025 study found brand mentions correlate around three times more strongly with citations than backlinks.
Do I still need traditional SEO if I have GEO?
Yes. Google AI Overviews cite from top-10 Google rankings 92% of the time. If you do not rank in classic search, you do not get cited in the AI Overview either. Traditional SEO is the floor. GEO is the ceiling. The technical foundations (crawlability, schema, internal linking, page speed) serve both. The content tactics diverge. &7 runs both in one programme.
What's the difference between SEO and GEO?
SEO is the work that gets you ranked in classic search engines like Google and Bing. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is the work that gets you cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Bing Copilot, and Google AI Overviews. The technical foundations overlap (schema, content quality, crawlability). The tactics diverge. We do both, in one programme.
How long does it take to see results?
Technical fixes show up in Google within days. Ranking improvements typically land in 8–16 weeks for competitive queries. AI citations move faster once llms.txt and passage-level content are in place, often inside 4 weeks for branded queries. We report monthly so the curve is visible from week one.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No, and nobody honest does. Google and the AI engines are moving targets. What we guarantee is the work: shipped fixes, shipped schema, shipped llms.txt, shipped content. Plus measurement that shows whether the work moved the numbers. If it didn't, we say so and adjust.
What tools do you use?
Google Search Console, GA4, and DataForSEO for organic measurement. Schema.org JSON-LD and a custom passage-checker for content. Manual prompt testing against ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Bing Copilot for citation tracking. Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights for technical health. Everything we use lands in the monthly report.
Can you work on WordPress or other CMS sites?
Yes. We work on WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Sanity, Contentful, and custom Next.js sites. Schema and llms.txt are platform-agnostic. Passage rewrites go through whatever CMS workflow you already run. Technical fixes ship as PRs against your repo or as patches your developer can apply.
What if AI search changes?
It will. The engines update citation logic, llms.txt support, and crawler policy on their own schedule. The monthly retainer covers staying current: re-running citation tests, updating the policy file, rewriting passages when the rules shift. SEO and GEO are not set-and-forget work.
